Is a Colonic Safe?
Yes, it is totally safe. As we have said, the instrument is sterile and lubricated. And no,
your bowel cannot be injured by a colonic, and it is not painful. However, it is very
important that the person administering the colonic be well trained and sensitive to
the needs and feelings of the client. An experienced colon irrigationist treats each
client with individually; he or she understands how to assist the person to maximize the
benefits of the colonic through gentle massage and by giving feedback about the
waste material coming from the body.
